What retro-fits and modifications have you done to your ZT/75 ?

Whilst browsing this forum over the years I've been a member the technical advice asked for tends to fall into two categories "...........is broken, not working how do I fix it" and "I want to retro-fit, install, or fit.........what do I need and how do I do it"

I'm interested in learning what you've fitted to your car personally as we do seem to have quite a lot of members that like modifying their cars.

Feel free to post a list of what you've done it'll make an interesting read.

To start the ball rolling this is what I've done to date, rather small fry in comparison to others.

Armrest cubby box accessory socket
Rechargeable torch
Boot mounted warning triangle
Symphony headunit and CD changer
Hardwired handsfree kit - with stereo mute lead for Nokia 9500
Passenger side cupholder replaced with oem phone mount
Custom TT730 mount hardwired from socket in fusebox void
TT traffic module mounted behind dash
2 x Glassmount antennas - for the handsfree and TT traffic module
Driver side cupholder
Upgraded IPK to message centre using "diesel" IPK
Trafficmaster ECU
Fitted boot mounted accessory socket - still requires wiring to 12v power.

Also converted a facelift white illuminated IPK to orange illumination and earlier type dials - this hasn't been fitted but has been sold to a member.

Things that I was going to do but never got round to them.

Auto dipping mirror
Parking sensors

Lets hear from you, it's a multiple choice poll - select from the first three - and then for those that have select the areas of modifications done.

Regards

Alex you seem to be in the middle of your mods - hope you get the rest done - nice colour your ZT.

Start point was a 2002 75CDT Conn SE with FF sunroof

It was not missing that much but I have since retrofitted:
Door torpedo badges.
Door handle chrome cups.
Rover Ron Synergy.
17" Serpents.
Heated windscreen washers.
Mudflaps.
Rover75 halfmoon numberplate.

Internally:
Walnut steering wheel, handbrake and walnut/leather gear knob.
Driver side cupholder
Driver side grab handle
TrafficMaster.
Armrest cubby box rechargeable torch
Boot mounted warning triangle
Boot Luggage Nets

I want to keep mine in as original conditon as possible so have pretty much run out of rover modifications that I can make now which is a bit of a shame because I was enjoying it.
Sorry you've run out of things to do - good job though.

My list isn't as big as everyone elses but one day :) Most of my mods have been 2nd hand or cheap eBay jobbies. Anyway...

Started out as a 75 CDT Club:

18" Hairpins
Synergy 2
Air Intake mod
Remapped (now back to standard)
Sony Single DIN mp3 headunit
Reversing sensors
Peugoet intank pump
New Leather Steering Wheel

Future Mods:
EGR Bypass
Stainless exhaust with decat
Proper Remap
Bluetooth TMC
Cruise Control
Heated Leather Seats
Don't knock what you've done eddy, sounds good to me

04 plate facelift ZT+ CDTi 135 nearly 9 months ownership.

Stuff the car came with:

Cruise control
Message display centre with trafficmaster
Headlight washer jets
Auto wipers
Auto dimming rear view mirror
8 Airbags
Xenon headlights
Apex alloys

Mods done:

Synergy 2
Pierburgh Maf
K&N air filter
Reconditioned the alloys

To do.

EGR bypass valve - bought but not yet fitted (not brave enough)
Air intake mod - maybe today although I've been saying that for a while)
Viton O rings
Exhaust with decat
Manual rear blind - bought but not fitted but would love an electric one

OR

Swap the whole lot for a v8 ZT or I would seriously consider a ZS 180 in Biomorphic which there just so happens to be in the for sale section.
Kris you've only had the car 9 months and if I remember correctly you've had some problems with it, so not bad so far.

We do seem to be having more views than posts in the poll - come on join in tell us what you've done or not as the case may be.

Kris, sorry hadn't fogotten you - just couldn't find a recent post I'd made on the subject of fitting the accessory socket. Just found it this morning, have a look at this thread should help you as I've posted some picture's.

As regards fitting a boot accessory socket should be straight forward - just find somewhere to fit it, connect to an earthing point in the boot area and run a positive 12 volt feed from the front - fusebox or battery, fused of cause and if you want it ignition controlled via a relay. Fitted mine and earthed it but never got round to connecting a positive feed - been a bit busy the last couple of months.

Hope it helps.

Nice one Carl - good impressive list of done and to do - where do you find the time. As regards torpedo badges, take it you'll go for the 2 litre ones, I've seen them recently on a ZT - looked fine.

Cheers

I think this thread shows what I thought in the first place - we love our ZT/75's.

To date we've had 47 member's vote - the highest number of modifications being retrofits and engine mods.

We've also had 5 member's vote that they'd like to do something - post with what that is - it might be easier that you think with a little assistance via the forum's.

In all I'm very impressed with the time and effort that some of this forum have given to their vehicles.

Just bought the car so no mods yet.

However I would like to.....

Fit Cruise control
Trip computer
Auto folding door mirrors
Heated seats
Rear cupholders
Rear centre arm rest with the cupholder and tray thing
Black door mirror covers to replace the chrome ones currently on the car
Auto wipers

And any other little bits that the car could have come with.
I would like to have the car as standard as possible but with all the toys.
