Anyone have the actual; Bearing Manufacturers part Number for the Rear Hub. Am refurbishing a spare front Flange (with Bearing) so I can have it in the Boot for emergencies. Would like to do the same with the Rear Hub. This would give me piece of mind when travelling abroad etc. No problems with the Front as that's being taken care of.
I use to have a Bearing Catalogue with all manufacturers (and optionals) but lent it never to be seen again.
cheers

Peplaced Bearings falling to bits is the result of not being correctly fitted. (my opinion) Never put the inner balls under any stress. Not a problem if you use a press with a hollow dowel. For example, press the bearing into the hub housing using only the outer shell of the Bearing then press this assembly onto the Flange by using the inner end of the bearing from the other side. That way, the bearing should last as designed and for ABS application, surely the ring assembled in the correct location at the time of pressing should complete the exercise.....Please Carl, what was the reason for the failure of your attempt?
Looking forward to you response!
cheers

The front flange you are refurbing. Does the old bearing not have a reference number on it ?? ( You've probably checked anyway )

I was responding to Carl's input re Bearing breakdown and the reasons therefor.
My initial question was if anyone had the Manufacturers Part Number/reference for the Rear Bearings which I'm hoping to have a few Assemblies made up but I'll need the Bearings - not listed as a simple part anywhere. The front Bearings, no problems as I have the Bearings including the ABS rings.
That's the Irish in me - I knew what I meant but .....
Anyway Colvert, cheers
