As always, DO NOT ATTEMPT this work if you are not competant with the spanners.
Anyway, here goes....a brief how to.....
Take wheel off....
Beat the screws which hold the disc to the hub - this loosens their grip, allowing removal.
Undo screws x 2 using a large cross-head screwdriver and store safely!
Slacken brake pipe union just enough to allow removal with the caliper off the car...
Undo two 15mm headed bolts that secure the caliper to the carrier
Prise the pads apart to allow caliper to be drawn off the disc
With a large hammer, beat the old disc off the hub - these can often be very corroded. Wear goggles to protect your eyes.
Remove brake disc
Clean both hub and mounting surface before fitting new disc, this is important if you are to avoid brake judder in the future
Fit disc, insert and tighten two screws.
Make sure you have the correct caliper - they are sided. Make sure the pads are fully pushed apart.
Fit the caliper, torquing the bolts up.
Clean the mating surface of the hydraulic connection....
Fit the hydraulic connection - do not overtighten! Use new copper seals.
Bleed brakes!
Fit wheel back on.......using a torque wrench, no air tools! :dddc:
The finished job.......looks nice!
and one happy Curgy!
