Whether Hamilton slowed Alonso down or not is imaterial because he did it on the race track and that's called motor racing. But for the engineer/ Alonso to stop Hamilton contesting the third lap in the pits is cheating. It like tipping sand in the fuel tank before a race.

Hamilton screwed up and didn't want to give the fuel-burn advantage to Alonso and refused to heed numerous calls to let Alonso by. Alonso, rightly, took this as a slap in the face and stuck around the pits to screw Hamilton. Fair play and the stewards shouldn't have gotten involved.

The only cheater is Hamilton who didn't followed the lap rotation scheme. So made that listen when it was his time is cheating these days.
Instead of having the Mclarens duking it out up front we are left with a parade of a race again , with little excitment and little doubt of the outcome. This was manufactured by the stewards, and again politics off the track are taking away from the racing.

Hamilton only that he showed is that he's a backstabbing hypocrite.

Seriously Alonso should leave McLaren. We saw how quick Hamilton was at Silverstone, when he decided to use a different setup to Alonso. FA and KR could have pitted again and still finish nearby.

If you read my post on the previous page, you would have realised why Hamilton didn't want to let Alonso past at the start of Q3, he didn't want to let Kimi past who was right behind Alonso.

So Hamilton put his foot down so the two Mclarens could try and pull away from Kimi so he could then let Alonso past without letting Kimi past, but Alonso backed off & then Hamilton couldn't let him past as Alonso was too far back.

That probably was really caused by the team putting them out in the wrong order, but Hamilton didn't want to risk screwing his qualifying by having Kimi go past him if he let Alonso through, which tbh, is quite the right thing to do.

But blaming Hamilton for Alonso choosing to sit in the pit box at the end is simply missing the point. You're almost saying that Alonso was right to do it!

But I agree on the subject of the stewards though, they really should never have got involved.

Comprehend this:

The McLaren team has a extra burn-fuel lap rotation scheme.

When it was Hamilton's extra lap Alonso played fair, but now Hamilton knew that it was Alonso's turn and refused to obey the team agreement/rotation scheme.

That extra lap on Sunday was Alonso's. Everyone in the team knew it before Sunday, and when Hamilton blatantly disobeyed them they blocked him to make sure the rotation follows thru a planed.

But then backstabbing hypocrite sore loser Hamilton told the team/(boss) to **** off and went to the stewarts to turn it all political and to the press to portray himself as victim.

And ofcourse the ******** press err ... I mean British press (same thing actually) went on to portray Alonso as a cheater for geting his lap.

The biggest ****** are the McLaren staff who let Hamilton behing Alonso instead of taking him into the pits.

I think you are right, Alonso should leave McLaren as he can't take the pressure from his own team mate and is making rookie type mistakes.

maybe he should go to a team where he can be No1 driver - like Schumi was at Ferrari - and have a chance to defend his title without any pressure.

Come to think of it, he needs to be at Ferrari with a docile Barrichello type team mate who's never gonna challege him.;)
