Out enjoying the sunshine when some blind bint drove into the side of me on a roundabout - both going slowly though..... Probably a write-off - rear wing, tyre holed - could the subframe/alignment be affected?

Do you think it may be saved?

p.s. anyone got an iold plastic rear window - gave mine away....

I am guessing he means where the damage is on your car.

So frustrating when someone is not concentrating and damages a perfectly good MG. Even more so when one has to battle with insurers!

Good luck and I hope all works out well.

Could've knocked the frame out of alignment or even worse, twisted it (I doubt it though if it's low speed)

Sadly it's almost certainly a write off.

The choice is yours now, either you can buy it back and find someone to fix it cheaply using second hand parts and pocket the difference or take the money and get another car with it.

It's insured with the MGOC insurers who wouldn't accept a low valuation, plus it's a steppy which should bump it up a bit. Got 66k on it which is quite low, it's also a MK2. See what happens - the bint's insurance phoned me whilst it was being put on the truck which is quick - I asked them to phone me in an hour and they haven't....

Cheers - I'll bear that in mind!

Just been talking to her insurance co - she's accepted full liability :rocker:

Off to the repairers for a quote on Monday, and the 'like for like ' hire car turns up on Monday as well - indeed, that's what I thought - like for like emans same engine size, so an Astra or Focus lol . Should be repaired or other easily within 2 weeks.

Thats deffo a right off for sure, and in my opinion its not worth the hassle trying to fix that amount of damage.

Take the money and buy a good example new one, you@ll love it just as much as the one you had.

Deffo see if you can salvage any bits if you can.
