Avos the best from what I've heard/read etc. saving up for some myself for my 160. They about £140 I belive

 

I have the black avo lowering springs, around a 40mm drop. looks much better and to be honest the ride is actually alright. I drive from my uni and back sometimes (a 300 mile round trip) and it's much better than you think. Picked mine up for £90 second hand.

 

im thinking that aswell, either that or spax ssx

 

Get either AVO, Spax or Eibach..

DONT get makes like Gmax, Pi etc.. All crap :lol:

Also with AVO they fit all ZR's so on the petrol the front sits a little higher due to the springs being made stronger to hold the weight of the diesel engine models..

I had Apex on my ZR TD and they were shocking.. All it did is bounce everywhere and if you chucked it into a corner the back wheel would bounce.. And the ride was solid.. Hated it, went back on standard springs :lol: Still am at the min but im saving up for either Spax SSX or Eibach (xpower)..

 

i have a 160 so in theory it should sit better due to it being a heavier lump than the others? right? lol

 

Not really mate no lol..

Only VERY slightly.. It might sit like 2mm lower :lol:

AVO's would still be alright, its just I heard they are a bit of a hard ride compared to the rest and the fronts sit slightly higher on the petrols..

Id got for spax personally..

Eibach (xpower) only lower 25mm but give the best handling..

Spax - 35mm

AVO - about 30mm ish on petrols

Apex - 35mm but are friggin' hard :lol:

All the rest are poo..

Gmax are ok but you have to have the Gmax shocks aswell as springs for it to actually handle well..

hopefully they will come before next weekend when i think they will be getting fitted if not beforehand

Lol, they do look nice lowered.. Loved how mine looked lowered.. Had a nice stance.. But I couldnt put up with the **** handling and the stiff ride :lol:

Iv just washed mine and it needs a good polish because its got **** loads of swirl marks on it! :sad2:

And all the plastics are starting to fade! :slap: (mines red by the way)

Needs a proper good claying but I dont know any good products! :lol:

 

i use autoglym its easy to use and get good results, im trying to convince my mate to get his clay bar kit out and do mine as he has an ek9 and he is a king with cleaning and polishing lol
