I think it'd look tacky. If you've just colour coded it, leave it as it is.

 

I quite like it, and an easy way of changing the light-colour of the heater dials instead of de-oranging it all!

 

Bit pricey for a DIY'd setup, I would do you the LED's for a tenner if you had the white dial !!!

 

Yea i do quite like em, but i think £25 is to much.
i'd probs buy them if they were around £10-15

I didn't think the price was too bad, saying that I have a load of LEDs left over from various 'blue dash' conversion kits and I reckon I could knock up the white dials on the PC, print and laminate them so may have a go myself.

 

Looks ok to me, just look at the price for the Lockheed dials.... and they dont come with the LED's.

 

My Vi has the Lookwood dials already, although it was real pain in the a** trying to find blue LEDs that were bright enough and had the correct light pattern to illuminate it properly, ended up with the five led 'bulbs' on one spade connector to get it right but they are too big to fit through the holes in the back of the instrument panel so needed to dismantle it completely feed them through from the front into the sockets from the back and then re-assemble the whole lot. Quite pleased with the end result though.

Get plasmas mate i think i was kind of the first to get them along with angels as i posted on here and had loads of comments.

Lockwood dials with blue LEDs

as mentioned previously my white Lockwood dials with the blue LEDs,it looks brighter in the flesh but you get the idea (and yes you can see the needles even though they appear to be black against a blue background).

 

Close your boot. Why does it have red patches on it?

 

LOL The boot open sensor has been busted since I bought the car and just haven't got around to sorting it yet.

The red patches are reflections of streetlighting, didn'tnotice them until you mentioned it.
