What happened to Major Ingram?

Major Ingram seems to have disappeared, has anyone seen him?

Now I'm not usually into conspiracy theories, but a "Dr Dave" has suddenly arrived on the scene and has solved all our problems with the K-series HGF. Has the Major met his match and departed?

Watch yourselves chaps, we don't want this forum turning into "Ask Dr Dave", that would be ridiculous..

I wasnt here when Dr Dave was here the first time. But from subtle hints by people i soon figured out that the Major was infact a reincarnation of the Dr.
But what i never found out was why he changed to the Major in the first place, it seems to be a well kept secret that only a select few know.
Now the Dr is back, can this secret be divulged?
