just wondering what engines can be put in a zr/25/200 not planning on doing any conversion just yet for the fact of only being 18 but was just thinking about the metro 6r4 which had a v6 3ltr engine i think? which was loaded into the back, so maybe some sort of v6 fitted into the back of a zr/25/200 would be a lot of work but surely anythings possible?

As said ANYTHING is possible depending how much money you throw at it.

Jonno's? (I think) ZR Rally car is running a Honda Engine for example.

It's really down to money, time and skills. There's a build thread on Driftworks for an SR20 Engine fitted to a Volvo 340, I've seen Calibra 4x4 running gear fitted to Nova's and Corsa's (There are a couple Novas running Sierra and Escort Cosworth running gear!) and even Impreza 4x4 Running gear fitted into a VW Beetle. The majority of people doing these sorts of Conversions are very skilled and do most of the work themselves.

You can pretty much do what you like.

Years ago we put a Granada 2.8 into the back of a Reliant Robin. Did mean keeping the original up front for ballast though

On a more conventional note, we did a a FIAT 131 TC RWD conversion on a MkII Fiesta.

And many more silly conversions since, but these are along the lines of your thoughts.

I saw a MK1 Fiesta earlier this year - smoothed, lowered, carbon roof, wide wheels, I initially thought it was some scene "euro" car.

Second look I noticed buckets, Rev gauge mounted on the dash etc.

Got talking to the Owner, RWD V6 Cosworth - in a MK1 Fiesta, he said it's quicker in straight lines than Evo's/Subarus and will give most bikes a run for their money. He then left where we were opposite lock fishtailing up the road. The car had MAJOR work done to it though, firewall completely cut back and boxed to accommodate the Engine, transmission tunnel had to be hand made, Custom prop and much more with it really.

Non-Rover here but an Example of what can be done: Escort Cosworth in a Nova (and you know how small Nova's are!):

Get over to Metropower and take a look at the epic V8 Metro (yes, a V8 engine in a car weighing less than 800kg)
Massive power and torque. And huge cost on tyres to get some grip lol

As for a 200/25/ZR, you can fit the KV6 engine into the front with a bit of work. The T16 is also a popular engine.

But basically if you have the money to throw at a project, than theres not really a limit (except traction lol)

Edit-
Beaten to the post with the3 V8 Metro suggestion, i should have read the replies first lol
