i've got an s2000 one mate, also wrote a guide on fitting em but havent posted it yet (the pics are rubbish and my mates having my old button which was a cheap one off me so ill take the pics again in god quality then)

mines invaluable because i can reach my key when i have my harness on so if i ever stalled id have to take the harness off to turn the engine on, not safe!

for everyone else, there just good for grin factor :)

the s2000 one btw is a load nicer than that one and lights up at night saying "ENGINE START"

but it does cost 59.99! from ebay or 74.99 from honda uk lol

What I think is not safe is the fact that you cannot reach the key to turn the engine off when you have your harness on.

I really cannot see the point of them to be honest. As an electrician it is just another addition to a circuit that could cause a problem and offer no practical advantage over the original ignition switch. You have to put the key in and turn the ignition key before you can press the button.

Why not have a row of toggle switches that you need to switch as well, then you can do pre-flight checks and add more inbuilt failure into the circuit. :)

I could understand if you replaced the ignition barrel with it, but that would invalidate your insurance anyway.

It is brilliant on the ST, but that is keyless ignition.

hey mate, i tried following the guide there but the TFs loom is different

if anyone wants i can post my guide (with iphone 3gs quality pics! lol)

its an easy install mind evan if your as useless as me at wiring and sparky stuff

incase anyone is wondering as well you can still use the key with an engine start button

Shut up ........... I've already spent too much money in the last 2 weeks, and I can't justify any unnecessary spending.......I don't want to make a habit of it and see myself as like: "Hi, my name is Anel and I'm a out of control TF mod spender......uuu what does this mod do, I take it!!!"

ÂŁ2.99 its at the bottom of the advert :)
Yeah stupid me, I saw it now :slap:

I don't want to be rude friend......but my question is: "so what's your point??".......It looks very cool.....I would love to find one having a little LED inside as I think it would look :hot: at night, shining red.....

The question to why wanting it is.....because it looks great simple

Great suggestion......you mean like this....I like it :broon:

Any reason your cables are damaged?
Yeah i used connector blocks on them.. I wired them into the wires which were recommended on other "how to's" and the car always started when the key was turned..thats why i took the picture to see if anyone knows which colours they should be connected to on a TF.. Ill pop some heat shrink tape round them when ive wired the button in :) I also have the relay wired into my cig lighter splicing into both wires on there also.

cheers this is such a pain to work out by trial and error... Ive tried the red/white and brown/white option and thats not it..also tried red/white and yellow/black option...the solenoid is wired as follows:

live - to cig live.. purple coloured wire - spliced to button
2 wires to ignition barrel (unsure which 2)
1 wire to button..this is spliced off to the earth on cig lighter (black wire).

Once i get this working ill take pics and get a how to done as one doesn't exist for the TF as of now :(
