vi? pooring oil.? help.

Hi guys not been around much lately since i gareged my vi, looking at putting her back on the road, its been nearly 2 years since i last started her, took battery out as was flat, charghed it and she started first time, wow, this was going good, then i was checking engine bay with engine running and noticed it was smoking from the manifold, just not been used, should clear soon? was my thinking. Then i seen oil pooring out of the bottom of the engine, so i turned it of, have not looked at were it is comeing from or why? but it is dripping very heaverly under pressure, and seems to stop when not running. Thinking it might just be sump plug and ring for oil drainage? really unsure at this preseant time.

Any one have any idea as to what it could be? Please help me.

Could the oil filter have corroded and developed a leak?

Do you know where exactly the oil is coming from?

Nah did not look to much, was more worried about long term damege to engine, panick set in, but it was looking as if it was more front of engine bottom side.

Well bottom front left would be the area of the oil filter. I can't think of anything else that would cause a leak like that, other than a massive hole!

could that look as if it was coming from the bottom of engine? say it was running along and down the front.

Hmm, Did you have anti freeze in engine? Could have froze the block. thus warping head.

there was but it would be 2 years old ? or older.

you got to clean it all off,start again,start the engine,and look closely,to see where it starts,chasing your tail,otherwise,really.

Looks as if i will have to, just its a bit hard to get under the car, can bearly get 2 fingers between arches.

you will have to have a good look,jack it up.if antifreeze was in it,its ok,even old stuff,is better than nothing as it won't freeze.
