Steering Wheel Shaking AGAIN!!

Ok bit of a long post, please bear with me, i have had this problem before when braking, had my discs changed - cured it. Recently i had 2 new tyres put on the front and got the tracking done aswell, car drove very well, was very happy with it.
Then, went over 2 pot holes :( (in different locations) at quite a speed (around 40mph) and both made a very loud noise. Steering wheel wasn't shaking at this point and i thought i got away with it.

Noticed the day later that the tyre (near side front) had a buldge in the sidewall, had it changed for a new tyre. Also was told the alloy had buckled slightly.
When this tyre went on, i noticed the wheel shaking when driving and also pulling to the left so swapped alloy with new tyre to back on same side, wheel still shakes while driving and braking and also still pulled to the left.

Had tracking done (which was 13mm out apparently!!) but still pulls to left and wheel still shaking so something is obviously wrong, all from 2 damn pot holes!!

Im going to look at the wheel when i get time, any ideas what to have a look at?

Iv got something similar, and its kind of anoying...

Only does it on motorway really...

My disks are NOT warped, my wheels are not buckled, my tires have been balanced, and my tracking has been done, yet it still wobbles at high speeds quick annoyingly...

Fairly harshly too, cant seem to find what is causing it...

Vibration at speed is usually cause by a balance issue.

I would try having the wheels and tyres (All 4) balanced somewhere else where they can set the machine to only put 1 weight on the inside.

Could be also anything else that spins is also out of balance, driveshafts, hubs etc

Had a disco in once with vibration at speed, someone had undersealed and the underseal was sitting on one side of the propshaft. Scrapped it off and all was good :)

Trackrod ends that are worn and suspension joints that are worn will also cause wobbling. So check those, particularly because you have hit a pothole and caused such damage. Then if repairs are required claim from the council concerned for the damage repairs to tyre wheel and suspension. State where the pothole is and photograph it with a rule indicating its depth in the photo.

Well, finally got it all checked over and everything seems ok but still the wheel wobble, seems to do it at around 45mph - 60mph if higher than 60mph it seems ok?
Could anything to do with the calipers cause this? Im looking at changing them for ZR 160 calipers and pads anyway.

Ive jacked the car up and no play in both front wheels at all, car still pulls to the left aswell... i thought about a sticking caliper? Gonna play around changing wheels around at the weekend just to rule them out. If that dosn't fix anything then im going to get the wheels rebalanced.

Any other suggestions at all?

I would say the wheels are out of balance, I've just had the Astra done and now it vibrates and didn't before.....they are bloody useless at balancing tyres, will be going back today and tell them to do it properly, grease monkeys!
Could be the disc has warped due to a sticking calliper.

Thanks for the info, when i jacked the car up i spun the wheels and they spun freely so no contact with the brakes at all?

I think it may well be the balancing of the wheels at the front as i had 1 changed, i reckon the lad didn't balance it properly as its only happened since then.... :(

Ok, thanks to all who advised the wheels being re-balanced as this seems to be the problem. I have put the spare wheel on tonight and low and behold... the shaking has gone!! :)

So obviously something is wrong with both wheels on the nearside of the car!! Not sure what the chances are of that?!! Either both require re-balancing or both are buckled, well i know the back one is lol

Going to get the buckled one swapped and get the other one balanced.

Thanks, another thing i have noticed and a completely different topic lol, now i have put my spare wheel on (15" i think) my ABS light pops up on the dash after say 20 mins driving..?? Goes off when engine is switched off then pops up again 20 mins later?

I do have 282 discs and calipers and it just fits underneath that 15" steely, must be mm's to spare if that makes any difference? its only been doing it since i put the steely on.

Any ideas?
