well, as autoblog says, Sino Motors, company formed by former MGR employees will be the first network to sell MG in Europe, between the end of the year and the beginning of 08.
The first car will be the TF made in China, as the Longbridge one is reserved to the British isles markets.
In spring will arrive the MG3 4-door and at the end of 2008, the MG7 who gets now problems in the homologation field (Euro normes).

In the meantime, Sino network is selling the Mahindra range (poorly sold) and from October the new Landwind allroad and MPV with better crash test behavior.

There has still been no explanation of why Longbridge is suddenly incapable of building left hand drive cars. A lot of the Spanish/Portugeese MG fans will want to buy an MG that was built in Britain, not in China.

Another important question for me is this whole story about NAC and SAIC joint venture or whatever it really is. If it happens, I wonder how some of you brits see an MG-Roewe Group reasonable... Sometimes I think I'm more british than you guys...:getcoat:

For me MG is not just Paul Stowe, Rob Oldaker, Louise Lane, James Lin, Gary Hagan, Stephen Cox, Arup, Lotus Engineering and a Longbridge built TF to sell in UK market. For me MG is much more. It should be at least TF and MG 7 made in UK to sell in Europe. Otherwise... just forget it :banghead:

Maybe, you just need to look at it as a start.

Think MINI. First they started with the One & Cooper. Then they added the Cooper S - then they added the Convertible.

MG is just the same - start small, and grown organically.

You have to forget MG Rover of the past, and look forward to growth of the MG marque - from small acorns does gown.

Yeah I saw that.

The steel industry that I work in was forever saying the UK should join the Euro - thing is our raw materials ,coal/iron ore etc are cheaper if the pound is strong ,and that's the biggest outlay. And when I go on holiday I've noticed things are mega expensive under the Euro compared to what they were ,and I'm about 99.99% sure the locals would agree.

I just don't buy into this Euro thing at all ,perhaps if our government attached more importance to manufacturing ,and supported the companies more ,statements like honda made wouldn't be ,well ,made.

Im sorry but MG is a british brand, they should make the cars in britian like land rover does, I will not buy a car made in china and i will not buy a TF as i want a sallon. So unless a MG3 or MG5 or next MG7 are made in britian then bye bye MG im of to Honda.
