Yep. I cannot believe, once again, how brilliant the service was.

Ordered them at 1430 on Monday and they were there when I got home yesterday. That's less than 24 hours.

My existing wheel nuts are deforming to the point where it is difficult to get the wheel brace fully on. I'm worried that one day I won't be able to get them off.

Oddly enough am going to be needing some wheel nuts for the new acquiston as the ones of her are ******ed well and truely :crying: .

How many bhp are they expected to add?

 

Clive .. The drag coefficient of 12 stainless wheel nuts = a loss of over 1.2 BHP.
I read that. Or did i dream it ? Either way if the Nuts aint balanced you could add to the equasion of in balanced handling to your car...

As a simple question has led to complete stupidity ...................................... guess I will ahve to do a web search and find out what they look like, the S/S wheel nuts that is for the twisted minds of some!, as mentioned earlier I really do need so new wheel nuts to replace the incorrect and butchered ones on this 75Th Anniversay model.

I am in need of some new wheel nuts too. MS is out of stock on his website but has them on ebay at £54 plus £4 postage. This does seem a lot. Are they that good? Or has anyone got some equally good but cheaper wheel nuts?

 

looked at those, but they appear to be tapered, not radiused...and quite expensive......so i went for these :-

Ahhh all the original MG-Rover wheel nuts for the F's that I have have tapered seats so why would you want radiused ones?

Always concerned over alternative wheel nuts as the original ones are 28mm in diameter, and the mounting holes in my 11 spokes are really big compared to the 12mm studs.

What's the diameter of Mike's wheelnuts??

The MS wheel nuts are not the cheapest, but they are the best i have come across. You get what you pay for i guess

 

I've had my MS nuts for 10 years, still perfect - unlike the originals which at 9 years were knackered. Keep a smear of grease on the studs and torque tighten to 70Nm and they're trouble-free.

 

Concerning MS's SS wheel nuts, be careful with them. Stainless steel threads gall very easily and can lead to failure of the threads due to corrosion between the SS nut and the steel threads of the stud, or you may find that you cannot get the SS nut off the steel stud; they have corroded together. If you do use SS nuts you must use anitsieze on the threads.
