I didn't want to revive that How-to about this as the last post was from 2012, so apologies is this question is better suited to that post.

Is the throttle body and cable from an MG ZR 120 1.8 able to give me the power gains on a rover 25 1.4?

Yes is the simple answer if your 25 is one of the restricted ones. No if it isn't a restricted version.

I think it is, I'll check, but I need to call my insurance company first anyway to make sure they're alright with it.
