Rover 200vi Suspension

Hi,
I was thinking of buying a vi, and was just wondering what the suspension is like compared to the standard suspension, off say a 216. And how much better is the ZR suspension, would it be worth putting that on to it?
Also, I've noticed the tyres on the vi aren't terribly wide, so if I was to get the ZR suspension on standard tyres what would handling be like?

It is slightly lower and stiffer.

The ZR is the same again over the Vi suspension.

The Vi wheels are smaller than the ZR, but proportionally are the same. They will be fine.

What is the tyre width on the standard Vi wheels then? I thought it was 185 on a 15 inch rim? or have I got it wrong?

Yes, 185/55/15's on the Vi.

The rolling diameter is pretty much the same as the 205/50/16's on the ZR.

IMO Vi suspension is way better than standard Rover jelly suspension. ZR is slightly lower and a bit stiffer. Worth going from standard suspension to ZR suspension as it can be had fairly cheaply second hand.

its not bad mate. they feel abit unconposed somtimes in corners. i think this is to do with the v.light steering aswell. the good thing about the fast steering though is the vi can change direction well e.g an s-bend.

but in the rain its a differnt story. my car hates putting down the 143 break in the rain. one blip of the throttle on corners will get the wheels spinning up.
