Good day all.
I'm in a bit of trouble with my Rover 200.
Over the past few months, I have found that at times, when closing the boot, I can "lift" it up and it will open, some times there is a bit of risistance some times there is none. I have always resolved this by closing it with a bit more gusto
However, a few days ago, I have suddenly found that it just will not close properly, resulting in me driving along and the boot warning light starts to flicker a bit.
As far as I can tell all other locks are working fine. I THINK it has some thing to do with the latch inside not closing properly, allowing it to be lifted with eas. I have tried using some WD40 on the lock, just in case it was sticking, but with little joy.
Has any one else found this problem? And more importantly, how easy would it be to replace the boot locking mechignism?
Time is a bit of an issue, I am meant to be driving to Belgum on the 29th
(
Any help would be MUCH appreciated.
