just put your old 1 back on it'll be fine

 

Try taping it down onto the connector? Or, if the garage say its incorrect, get a refund and hunt down the proper part from Rimmer Bro's or a scrappy.

 

Thanks for the advice, but it's that lead that's giving me problems with damp (I think). Whenever it's raining, the car won't start until a couple of hours after we've WD40'd it.

 

Theres 2 types of coil on the Rover 100.

One for the SPi and another type for the MPi.

Are the coil HT leads new and old the same length? The Mpi has a longer lead than the SPi.

Thanks for that - we've got the MPi, but were sold the SPi set of leads!!
We'll know in future - but have got the right set ordered.

A pet hate of mine that too. Then dont be suprised when they come that the king lead is the wrong one. Eg for the seprate round coil and not the block mounted one.
