Well, I've swallowed my anti Chinese pride and we've ordered a Smokey Blues MG3Style.
It's certainly not a terribly quick car, but drives really well, with the sweetest gearbox imaginable, and a wonderfully uncluttered dashboard with classy controls and switches. It makes that of my daughter's Fiesta look absolutely crass. It has a very solid feel and I find it very comfortable and roomy. The boot is a good shape, but not enormous. The engine is almost inaudible at tickover, and revs freely.
There are likely extras not included in the £9999 price - in our case metallic paint, leather seats, spare wheel, mats, universal phone mounting thingy. No go-faster stripes etc., thank you very much.
Delivery may be as late as December.
Now I have to sell the BGT............it's a very nice 70H in flame red. Once that has gone, I'll have absolutely no excuse to go car hunting, probably for years. The TF and Jag S-Type are here to stay.
