i presume you tried all the usual stuff gordon....im putting a new throttle position sensor on later this week for a similar prob.....hope you can still make the camping weekend bud

 

I know how you feel mate. I'm still chasing a problem with mine which is creating a deadspot and making it die sometimes when I put the clutch in coming up to junctions etc :sad2:

It doesn't need an ECU - guy said it would have cost a bomb. still can't find the problem though and I'm still carless.

dDdn't i see a thread a few weeks back where someone had connected two sensors the wrong way around with different volts goining through them caqusing a simmilar problem?

You mean the vvc sensors 2 plug are interchangeable and it messes up the vvc system but still runs. Doesnt rev up or idle properly. Worth a shot if nothing else have you had any work done recently???
