So annoyed....

Manual or electric, i have a manual drivers mirror you can have; i had my passenger mirror kicked off and it scraped down the door too, i upgraded to electric; thus have a manual drivers one if you want it? I've ordered a 6mpixel web cam im going to setup watching my car on the drive as some kids keyed mine, it will record when it detects motion and i'll only review it if something happens...

Skrib,

That sucks, sorry dude :(

The best way to look at it is that it was very more than likely nothing personal or that it's a Rover, 99% of the time it's a case of wrong place wrong time.

Some gimp booted the wing on my ti, though it pretty much all popped out, so not too bad I guess, better if it hadn't happened at all though! point is, if a stock, unassuming looking ti (just a 600 to most people) can come in for stick, then any car can.

My mate witnessed a couple of large idiots coming up his street a few weeks ago in the morning as he let his dogs out, they were randomly stabbing car tyres with a large knife, needless to say he got the dogs in and sat in his car with the engine running on the pretense he was warming it up before going to work. They left his car alone but did stop and stare in for a moment as they walked past.

Personally, I think he did the right thing, I know it seems bad for all the people who got flat tyres, but to be fair, getting stabbed isn't on my list on early morning priorities! Ahhh, Burslem!

I feel for you, had the exact same thing done a few weeks ago

found a good shop on ebay though they sell none OEM mirrors that are identical to originals at a baragin price - quality seemed great on the 400 leccy one I bought highly recommended (I bought new as older scrappy ones tend to have broken heater coils didnt fancy stripping the door down several times)

That's the shop i mentioned earlier. I think he has a new mirror though now.

Jealousy is a terrible thing thats all they are oh and scum !!!!!

Sorry for whats happened mate, its never nice to wake up to something crap :(
I always tuck my mirrors in on my 200 now. I have had 3 of the shrek styles ones knocked off with no note or anything which is why I changed to 25/ZR ones. Now I tuck them in whenever I park as I doubt anyone would bother unfolding a mirror and then kicking it off. I just hope that folding them in removes the temptation to kick them

I was quite annoyed when i had my last car, a hyundai accent. When i bought the car it had a few minor scratches on the rear passenger door. over time, (i had to park on the road) the number of scratches increased, it was like some low life had walked past and thought 'oh, he already has scratches, he wont notice a few more'. in the end my door looked like a victim in a scream movie!
That car has since been written off by some french white van man who couldnt make up his mind at a roundabout. i now own a rover, :)

you guys wont believe this....

i fitted me new mirror and went to fold it in....wouldnt budge....put a bit of force into it heard a bit of a snappign sound...the mirror went loose and still woudlnt turn. I popped the cap off the bottom only to find it had been snapped off once befoer and cowboyed back on with a drill and some screws.

My luck is terrible, i wish id checked the mirror before i bought it but i never thought. Ive tightned the screws abck up and the mirror is solid now but i know that it isnt right and its gonna bug me.

I dont know what ive done to deserve and they say it comes in 3's so whats next the dreaded hgf lol!!!

I've seen little chavs doing the mirrors thing, they both had a can of larger in each hand and were running past a few cars doing each one. when they saw me they aggressivly went 'alright mate'. Was with the byrd and didn't want a fight but i was right ****** off later that i didn't belt them. Beware anyone doing this sort of thing is boozed and hyped up and if u confront them it will more than likely go physical. If they are too big/too many call the cops and follow them from a distance is probablly best thing to do. A few peeps have been stabbed up by these dicks.

Vandalism of cars really gets to me. My 405 estate had all the windows put through in Manchester last month. Nothing stolen, but all the windows smashed. WHY? Keying I think is the worst, it's just jealousy, and I think anyone caught keying a vehicle should be keyed themselves with a stanley blade. A nice sharp stanley blade, dipped occasionally in sulphuric acid.
