Sorry for new thread-getting a bit desperate. Got a 2001 vvc, had since sept last year. Cured heating issues, had hgf checked-ok still. However, always runs lumpy, needs to be fed revs to pull away, lumpy and jerky, especially at around 1800 rpm, sounds like my previous diesel megane! Read all the posts I could find-fault reader always says p1522, on testbook.
From what I understand-my cam position sensor is suspect.
MY POINT-please can someone explain to a novice where to find this sensor, as there are so many, and exactly how I change it/set it up. Found a post which explained all my problems and the cure, but want to do it myself. Already thrown far too much money at this car-starting to find myself looking at autotrader! Car feels fast some days, slow on others. ps ALL SERVICEABLE PARTS like plugs coils filter oil, all done. phew.

I read a post which described my symptoms perfectly, and it said the cam sensor wasnt reading the cam position properly. It will rev up to redline, but always feels lumpy to drive. better when warm. Took throttle body off and cleaned it, new fuel filter, everything actually! makes some sense to me that if it cant properly read the cam position its constantly on/off trying make sense of the readings its getting, (or not)? I dont want to fark things up by reversing the plugs if there currently correct, but no one seems to be quite sure what to do, me especially!!

hi
the symptons you give will be the exact same symptons for a camshaft sensor
found this post and some of the replies are apt especially as the code you give is the variable intake solenoid and the plugs swopped round will give lumpy running across the rev range
hope you get sorted soon as little gremlins like these can be a pain
