Mg zt cdti strange problem help please

Hello all i have a problem with my 52 plate zt cdti ,when i pull off then change gear i get a small pull notchy feel from steering wheel ,i changed the bottom engine mount thinking it may be worn out but problem still there,i guess it resembles the same as torque steer but just a tiny amount its so anoying really and ideas please

notchy steering feeling is usually due to a worn/damaged suspension top bearing.. get the car on some grass and move the steering from right to left and vice versa. see if you feel a tug/notch as you do it.. .. Also check lower rear engine mount(get a good hold on the engine and try to rock it back and forwards). if it rocks and thuds/knocks, the lower mound is buggered.. The problem could be nothing to do with these two items, but its a few things to check.

you need to check the front wishbones. especially the rear bush in them. have a good swing on the front wheels to see any unwanted play in the bushes.. preferably with the front wheels off the ground.. be careful when on the jack and swinging on the front wheels..
