Hi all...

Would anybody be willing to do a "How To" for the full procedure for installing fog lights?? with pictures, diagrams and concise steps???

Also taken from the point of view that there is no mounting brackets, no relay, no panel switch & no wiring loom...

I plan to purchase the bits that I need in the next few weeks...

One lamp one week, another the next, then the switch and relay, and finally the loom...

Also, I phoned a local breakers yard here and he said that after installation, the computer of the car needs reprogrammed to tell it that there are fog lamps present...

Does anyone have experiance of this? is it true?

Thanks guys for any interest :)

Seems to change at VIN 620549 according to a Google search I just did.

(My two TFs are either side of this number which suggests it's accurate as they differ as identified above based on the fob type as a simple check)

Part nos are correct too as I now recall. I fitted an earlier loom to my later TF. The only difference being some of the connectors into the fuse box.

This is helpful, ive just bought the full kit off ebay not knowing about the different looms. Looks like the ones im getting are off an f because the brackets are big metal things so i must be getting an old loom. My vin is 618 and my fob is square'ish and doesnt have an mg logon, so i think im ok apart from the brackets?
The guy is also sending me full instructions on how to fit and wire them so illl upload them if they make sense.

My question is... Will i be able to make my own tf brackets? Or will i be able to adapt the f ones?

I don't know what differences there may be between F and TF wiring. My info is based solely on TFs, earlier and later. Early TF wiring may be the same as F.

I don't think F metal brackets will be usable at all. The TF brackets as has been said are completely different animals and are either glued or screwed in, ie later ones screwed. They changed around 2003 and the above VIN.
