I heard cremating them makes them look better. If you dont have access to a crematorium however, wet + dry sandpaper plus a few passes of aggressive polish might do the job.

Unfortunatly there is no way to remove the scraches, perhaps using the same stuff they use on the MGF/TF rear plastic window to remove the scratches, in that does not help the you could pick up another set on ebay as they are quite cheap !!!
