As I said before I have just got a 20 plate exclusi9ve auto and it is great! But I had to go into hospital for a couple of days and although the dealer set it up for me I have only today tweaked it and I think most things are ok (I am 83 but quite tech savvy) and I need your help please with a couple of questions?

1. This model does not have the 360 degree camera but the manual says it has a rear camera and a front camera. Now the rear camera works perfectly when I use reverse gear but there is no front camera showing - not even a buzzer to show when I am near the car in front when parking (like on my previous Kadjar) Am I supposed to set this up on the Infotainment system and how? I have gone through all the settings and cannot see it!

2. I was told that there is (like my Kadjar) the GPS to pick up speed cameras and give a warning but have not been near any yet so can not try that and also there is a warning when I go over the speed limit say in 30 40 60 mph areas.
Have not had opportunity to drive it much but near the digital speedo there is a white circle with 3 horizontal dots - will this show the max speed for the area I am driving in once I take it out tomorrow and will it bleep or do I have to set this in the vehicle settings somewhere - I am really confused by the manual on this.

3. Near the gear lever there is a little button marked A - what is this please?
Also- there is an odometer so how do I reset this to zero?

4. Finally- Passenger seat does not raise electronically like the drivers seat only forward and seat tips back - is that correct?

Thanks everyone and sorry to be a pain but tried to ask on phone to dealer and have not had a call back yet!
Regards
Gordon
PS. Love the car!

Thanks so much for this Mikeyy
I have my laptop in the car this moment as your messages came through!
Thought as much about front parking sensors as I have just looked and there are none showing!
Understand about the A for assistance button now and the passenger seat movements.
Am just altering the odometer now - yes that worked too.
Only one sped camera in my area so will run past that later and understand that when I drive this morning the little circle will change to the speed limit as I proceed (does the camera read the signs?)

Thanks again for your help

Gordon, I'm glad to hear you're happy with your car, I've had mine for 3 months now and I like it.

I'll try to answer your questions:-

Although there's a camera at the front it's used for detecting speed signs etc. and isn't accessible by the driver. There isn't any parking assist at the front, I think this a shame and having having had it on previous cars, I also miss it.

The speed signs are picked up by the front camera, not GPS, and will indicate it on the dash in the white circle you mention. If it has picked up a speed sign and you exceed the speed by 3% it will start flashing. It does have a couple of limitations, it assumes a national speed limit sign is 60mph and flashes constantly if you're travelling at 70mph on a dual carriageway, the only way to stop this is by turning it off in settings.

The button marked A is the automatic handbrake, if this is pressed to activate it there will be a yellow light on the button. When you stop at a junction or lights and are stationary for a few seconds, the handbrake will activate and you can remove your foot from the brake. A green brake light will activate on the dash. As soon as you go to pull away the brake will release, I find it works well but it has caught me out once when pulling away on a hill, I started to moved a few inches, which released the brake and had to stop, the car started to roll back until I put my foot on the brake. I'll need to check on the odometer

Regarding the lack of height adjustment on the passenger, my wife was most disappointed about this . My previous car, a GS had this and I think for the small amount this would have cost to include is a regrettable cost cutting measure.

Thanks for that - I was going to ask as the bings are annoying! Not getting any on the speed side but when I first start car it goes thru a sequence of messages like 'lane departure off' etc etc accompanied by loud bings.
Is there any way to silence these altogether as I cannot see off button anywhere!
Also just back from first drive - the speed circle starts with 3 dots but I went for ages with it still like that even though there were 40 and 60 limits and when I entered village with 30 sign it still showed nothing although a triangle showed when I went over 30!
Other times the white circle changed to having a diagonal line thru it for a while. Is there a fault on camera and where is the camera?
Thanks again
Gordon

Three dots means it hasn't seen a road sign yet, as soon as it sees a sign it should display it.

You can configure a number of things in settings, I've turned off lane departure warning it was driving me crazy, fortunatley it stays off, apperntly on the MG4 it turns it back on each time you start the car.

Hello again Mikeyy and MG Bob
Are there warning 'beeps' on this car like my previous Kadjar?
I know that the front camera picks up the speed signposts and registers that in the white circle above the digital speedo and that part is working ok but......on my Renault this was also showing but in addition I got a 'bleep' when I went over limit. I am sure there must be a method of adding this sound on the HS but have been into both 'vehicle' and 'settings' but can find nothing - or is it somewhere in Navigation itself?
Think it says in manual you can set it. A orange triangle flashes up occasionally but not when I overspeed.
Where are the beeps please
Thanks for help so far both of you. Other than this at last! my new car is going well and I really like it

Hey gordon I only get the orange triangle if I’m going over the speed limit I reduce speed and it goes away never had bings or bongs I did on my cadjar though like yourself the triangle shows up bottom left of digital speedo pretty sure u need to update the infotainment unit to for the bong on speed cameras seemingly there are 2 downloads to do and u have to do one at a time don’t do both together it won’t work acording to my pal I will try get the link of him and u can go from there

Just getting my head around the three screens which are different to my previous Kadjar. Think I have sorted them now - just went into Navigation and set that up.
On my Kadjar I had a spit screen option of Radio/Nav - both half the screen which was great. Is there no option to do this now as when I select Nav the radio still plays but do I have to leave Nav to change radio stations?
Thanks
Gordon
