Hi all

yes I am back from my travels down under! If only I could transport the TF to Australia, what a brilliant country to roam around in with the air in your hair, (well not so much in my case),
anyway I have ordered the new top from MGMania and am now awaiting delivery. I intend to do this job in the spring of next year, with some help from an MG enthusiast friend, I spoke to Peter from MGMania and he said this is a job best done with a bit of heat around to help stretch the new hood over the frame, so methinks, next year is a must. I can however fit the switch in readiness for the new top. Other than that I have done nothing except install the new crash cans on the rear bumper. A nightmare of a job when the tort bolts on the bumper have rusted solid onto the old crash cans! A 1hr job turned into a 5hr job and lots of effing this and effing that.
Anyway job done and I am happy, so is the wife!

Hi,
Got rear ended in Sept and had a dash cam running its interesting to see the shunt but really no video of the incident as it was pointing to the front, anyway had to get another boot lid and bumper with second hand crash cans. I put in new bolts holding the bumper on to the cans but I think I will undo them and put some copper slip on them so they can be opened easily if the need be. The chap I got the bumper from had to cut the section where they bolt on to get them off so they get seized over time.:crying2:
