Is there a way to check a car's paint code from the registration?

There's a car in a scrappy that's had it's VIN plate removed, but I've found it's reg - is there any way to look up it's paint code somewhere? :S

Phone someone like Rimmers and they should be able to tell you I would think.

Nope, never recorded by Rover. So you would need the code or a photo of it. Even then there code be two shades of the same colour depending on year.

Acquire a bit of the paint that's flaking off and it can be matched by most body shops.
