wat grade clay bar were u using? cos i am a valeter and detailier and never encountered scratches after claying? these can happen if apply too much pressure. u only need to glide the clay across the finish not push it just keep it well lubricated and glide it dont push it! also was the car washed properly? cos most people dont wash them properly leaving small patches of muck and wen u go over with the clay u will be dragging the muck with it which anit gud! take my advice and make sure the car is prperly washed and dryed use a lambswool wash mitt and waffle weaved drying towel or microfiber towel then clay ur car using plenty of lubricant! i use meguairs chemicals and i feel they r the best quality money can buy

anybody needs to no anything let mi no and al see if i can help!

Sounds like you didnt use enough luber, imo you should always follow claying with a corrective polish, sonus sfx-1, scratch x, or similar.

i think t-cut does a gd job on old faded cars but wouldnty suggest using it for a car between new-9 years old. im a valeter myself alsoand i always wash my car 3 times before applying any polish or clay but i think if someone before you uses a ruff polish on the car then when you clay it its inevitable you are going to find the scratches this polish has caused.

One lesson I learnt about claying... never do it in sunlight!

I did, being a bit overenthusiastic to get it done and the lube dried as I was claying... led to a lot of scratches on the bonnet that I *hope* can be corrected out!

Other bits of the car were fine and it made a massive difference to the shine and the feel of the paint as well... so smooth :D

I have never used clay myself but have seen many before and after photos on here and the results are excellent. Does it give a similar result to T-cut or is it better?
Hi there twin! - does yours have swirl marks all over it? Mine has been well looked after and is very glossy after a wash but the swirl marks are pretty bad all over. Having never heard of clay before I might give that a go at some point and try the autoglym stuff on the swirls.

T cut is handy for when paints been mended - stone \chip repairs etc , after sanding to take it down super smooth , but id never T cut whole panels - its a once in a blue moon spot treatment

clay as said is a very good cleaning item
