looking for one of these and can't find any, i've tried 3 part companies in glasgow here, euro car parts, dingbro and andrew watts.

i basically need an idle air control valve (directly connected to the intake manifold with a pipe leading back to the throttle body)

I've tried ebay and they are listed as stepper motors which I have found a few, but will the rover 45 be compatible with the mg zr 1.4 or 1.8 or any of the k series engines

or are the parts only compatible with rover 200/400 series?

any one help me out here??

you need one with the same connector as yours. They are the same on all k-series engines 1.1 to 1.8 including VVC as its only a motor that moves to adjust how much air can go round the closed throttle bypass.

The rover 25/45/75 MG ZR ZS ZT uses a bmw style one and doesn't fit.

Best option is to get one from a scrapyard. Any k-series Rover from 1995 to 1999 will have one including MGF's.
