Only use sealants as a short term fix / get you home or to rescue an old banger from scrap.

 

K-Seal kept my 400 alive for 10,000 miles and it's still going now, with its new owner.

I cleaned the system out with washing powder dissolved in water, then added the correct antifreeze concentration, bled as necessary and finally added the K-Seal.

Stopped my head going, which it was about to. And the car's still out and about today, a year later.

 

Could seal it, could completely wreck the engine.

Only to be used as a temporary fix to get you home, or if its such an old banger its the only way to stop it being scrapped.

 

Thanks for your replys lads, Im unsure wether to use it now, Matty seems positive but a couple against use, so I,ll hang on a bit until I learn more.

 

If there are no signs I wouldn't bother, but for me the car would have gone in the bin if it'd let go as new job wouldn't have allowed the time to do it.
