Yes they are normall speckers. But i can not hear any clear sounds out of subs. When i start bracking and slowing down for some strange reason the speckers all go and you can only hear bass from the subs then you let of the brake and speed up and its ok. But now its gone all together all you can hear is bass. im running to subs with 2 amps. and there is no amp on the speckers.

i dont think its got anything to do with your subs as they are seperate and nothing in and around them is goign to your speakers, i think its definatly from your headunit loom back to the power source.and if your speakers have now gone alltogether i can only imagine its to do with your speaker wiring and anything that goes to it maybe a fuse or a short im not sure im not a car electrician but i would rule out the subs

I'm thinking maybe some sort of power issue. If the amps are disconnected it will be a good place to start narrowing down. When you say all you can hear is bass from the sub, do you mean continuous bass, like interference, or the bass notes of the songs you're playing?

Does it seem to be affected by volume? Does it happen if the system volume is quiet?

You can probably hear a little music from the subs because the crossover isn't totally filtering out the higher frequencies. The head unit sends the full sound (frequency range) to the amp in the boot and it's the amp's job to filter out anything the subs can't play.

I don't fully get the slowing down issue. Only thing I can guess is that something in the head unit was on its way outand reacting to power changes. Now it's completely nackered and you can't hear anything.

Did volume change make any difference? When the system was quiet or loud?

As the others have said it's either a wiring fault ( as I said initially ) or the amp in your head unit has died.

Personally I'm still certain it's a wiring fault because braking causes thing to pull towards the front of the car. If you've got a loose connection somewhere over time it would work lose.
