I was watching some re-runs of top gear the other day Clarkson was as usual driving around shouting poowwerr, however in this episode he was in a BMW M3 (sorry I know thats like a naughty word on this site)

Anyway what I liked was the heads up display the dash was effectivly displayed on the windscreen, it looked sooooooo cool, anyone done this or even knows whether it could be done??

I have got one fitted to my ZR (Essex gave me a call when they were first introduced a year or so ago). It works by tapping into the same elctronic signal for the speedo and is incredibly easy to use and set up.

Here's a couple of pix of it on mine

The 'double display' is because I hadnt fitted the tinted patch that came with the kit which elimates this. With rthe patch fitted the display is very clear in all lighting conditions, even with full sun.

Regarding the Tinted part:

"The VLT limit for windscreens is 75% and you will find that by applying even the clearest of tinted film would probably cause your car to fail a test"
this will be in the centre of the windscreen, or around about.

The BMW has it at the bottom of the windscreen and doesn't interferre with the view of the driver
