Hi, theres a user called "rover 25 fan" posted this query accidently in another part of the site, Im not a mod so I dont have the power to move it.. so I thought I would re-post it over here for them to help them out...they are a new member, but im sure you will all make him feel welcome.

their query is as follows,

"Im new to this forum and not sure how to do things so not sure if this is the right place :S but here goes

My rover 25 1.4 impression fuel gauge stays on when I turn the engine off. It works fine goes up and down etc but was wondering if its supposed to stay at its position when I turn it off and remove the key?

if its not supposed to then does anyone know what this could be because of and how to fix it? My dad said it could possibly be a bad earth?

Cheers for any suggestions "

lol they arent the only ones which do stupid things.
I think its mainly done for the purposes of rental companies and stuff so they can check mileage and fuel level.

my car (non rover) has a stupid idea where the screen on the instrument cluster stays illuminated in bright red for 25 minutes after you lock the car.

so the cars mileage is on full show for anybody to see.
