I know some of you have mounted with the brilliant how to from CJJ a front LE500 Bumper. I'm trying to do it myself as well cause my regular bumper is broken. I've got a quotation from rimmer Bros and I'm not sure if I need anything else or I could live without something I could use from my car. Can you please help me out with this? Thanks in advance!

I assume those prices are Ex. VAT, as the bumper is usually ÂŁ295 ;)

You can re-use:
- The screws that hold on the bumper
- The 2 x torque bolts that go in the front
- Grills / Air intake will fit with a little alteration
- Fog lamps and mountings can be re-used :)

I wouldn't bother with the armature, I used the existing TF one on both cars without a problem. Couple of mins with a hacksaw and no need to weld the bolt on either.

The lower grill for an older TF isn't quite big enough so if buying one, make sure it's for the LE500. The old one does fit although you can just see the edge of the metal frame which annoys me.
The upper grille comes in two halves for the LE500 bumper so I think perhaps your part number is wrong.
Fog lamps (assuming you have them) are the same, don't buy those either.

Yeah, I've seen it but not sure if I want a damaged bumper I've asked the seller to send me a picture of the detail of the repair...

Money is not my priority so I prefer to pay a bit extra and get one in perfect condition.

My question is if I buy the one from MGFNTFBITZ I assume I will still need all the parts from Rimmer bros right?

Thanks for all!

I can't check as I'm on my phone but you might as well buy the one in primer from Mgfntfbitz if it's cheaper. Don't bother with the armature, but you will need to buy 2x m10 nuts from somewhere. Get the left and right upper grilles and lower le500 grille from rimmers and a badge.

Do you currently have fog lights on your TF, if so are the brackets screwed in or moulded on?

I used the hacksaw to open up a channel from the bottom of the armature to the hole that CJJ used to weld a nut to the back. I did this as I didn't have a big enough drill bit to widen the hole.

You can easily get your hand up behind the armature and use a socket to keep it in place whilst tightening the torx screw from the outside.
