lock car with fob.
replace battery.
unlock car using key in door, leave door closed.
press the lock button a few times in quick succession.
doors should lock.
fob synched.
how do i reset my fob after changing the fob battery, your right,i did ask this before, but then i looked at some old discussions and never found the same answer twice, its the first time i have had to do it and dont want to mess it up,could really do with some expert advice.
However if you post the question in the 400/45/ZS section and wait for the responses they will come.
Multiple posts will just annoy people and will get closed by mods or merged as they see fit.
The answer you are looking for iirc is to press the lock button several times 4 I think in quick succession or it could be the unlock button but I can't remember.
Also remember use the search function as it is your friend and will most likely give the answer in full detail.
My new car only has 1 key fob (which works fine) but if i wanted to acquire a new one (off ebay or summat), how could i get it to work on my car, will the method described above work or do i need to go to an autoelectrician? Is there a code that i need, which would be difficult now the dealers are all gone??? :-(
Quote: Key fobs can only be programmed with diagnostic equipment.
