You got one then mate, knew you would after our chat about them, looks very nice, will have to come see it, take it the jeeps now in the field lol
Its fun x country :broon:

Yeah the jeep is a dead un the reear springs snapped, so bought a 2.8 turbo intercooler shogun two weeks ago, plenty of oil plenty of water, bang, siezed engine. so lets see how long this lasts, :dunno:

Its a lot faster Ian, Amy aint no slowboat and Fi doesnt hang about, but it sailed past her.:broon:

They might be chavvy, but they are still fast! also the tuning options for them means big power is easy.
Not sure whats been done with this one if anything, but it has a stainless steel air pipe and cone filter.

lass we know has a subaru impreza as well, she had a drive in this one and said its got more power than hers. So assume its not basic. Although it is listed as a sports special, havent the faintest what that is. :dunno:

So much for Japanese reliability with the Shogun then Steve ?!;) _ had a similar issue with a SWB version - didnt have it for more than a week :(

As a Sports it should still be the std n/a engine at about 125HP which with the AWD etc I'd expected to be slower than the F ? - assume no one has slotted in a turbo ?! :errx2::bgrin:

Have had three Imprezas and a 180k Legacy - all totally reliable - economical no but reliable yes !

Hope it does the job for you - got a NIB radiator if you want it FOC at any point too !

Cheers Ian, I assume then that the cone filter etc is aftermarket, so someone has been tweeking a bit.

Must admit I do like the seats, theres a picture of them somewhere will sort it out. hmm wonderr if they would fit in an MGF when this goes tits up.

best of it is Amy and Sly just sail along blithely, never had any problems, every other bloody car we get doesnt last, and Fi goes everywhere at errrrm 95and does bloody big milage to boot.

Will take you up on the offer of the rad, for a donation to charity and cover postage and packaging if you are sure.

Wouldnt hold out much hope of getting the seats anytime soon - my Legacy cost ÂŁ160 , with 180,000miles , I used it then sold it to a friend for , yes ÂŁ160 until he got his new car in a few months -but he then kept it for 18 months before handing it over to his father in law - great car !!

Thats the seats that are in it now, very comfortable, and they support you completely.

Wonder why its usualy the cheapest car you buy that often turns out to be one of the best.

Firstly, TF Steph........Will you marry me??

Also, i'm not a fan of scoobies per say but i am a HUGE fan of Jap cars. They have the best engines out of all cars in my opinion.

I must have owned about 15 jap cars over the years and have not needed to spend a penny on them apart from the things i wanted to do like resprays and bodykits etc. Currently have a 300zx and i LOVE it. Had a supra before that and that was great too. Totally different driving experience to the MG. I like them both in different ways.

Scooby

Not wishing to rain on anyones parade, but locally all the scrotes and wanna be gangsters are buying scoobys because they are cheap, and so I'm told drink petrol for fun (maybe thats why they're cheap).

Plus I think it's the law that all the side windows must be tinted black what ever colour the car is.

There's an old proper rally spec WRX in the garage in the house next to ours, been there for years now. I'm often tempted to make an offer on it.
i want!

I like that!!

The Skyline looks like it's going Saturday, may have to look at a Scoobie, only thing I really don't like about them is the interior, it's so basic, even worse than a Beemer

Alan...
what skyline are you selling? i'm in the market as it were ;) Id never have a scooby over a skyline

a skyline is a true petrol head- connoisseur car... you see someone driving a Skyline you know they have taste and want speed! lol

a scooby round here is usually driven by an unisured 20 something with so much base coming out of it that my mirrors shake on the other-side of the dual carrigway - it's a tad of a fail lol... that or it could be the 3" exhaust

besides... yes there fast (ish) but my ZR Turbo totally dissed them on the strip... even the souped up Sti versions couldn't keep up with a Rover bubble with a oil rig engine swap running waste-gate pressure

so they can't be that fast?

i used to have a Scooby :( tbh i miss him still - completely different feel to driving the TF - he made me smile in other ways ;)

He was very, very fast standard and i loved it, no wonder i couldn't get insurance on my own lol

here's a pic ... he was a bit of a beast ;)

that said... nice blob eye steph... when there not 'blinged' they have some appeal lol

swap your K series engine for something tasty and jap in the back of your TF and you'll have something much quicker than the scooby

My grandad used to say: Japanese rubbish!!!

But he was allowed to... he fought in the war.

As for me... don't care if car is faster or not... still looks like a scrapbook. Poor fella... he really did get creative with black electrical tape.
aye... my grandad called my mates Cupra a german bag off... 'poo' when he found out it had a 20v VAG VW engine in it lol

odd how germany and japan make the best engines in the world... and some ok chassis

Weird that todays busiest thread has bugger all to do with Fs and TFs...

If you wanted Impreza styling and F/TF appeal.. why not the Feroce?

0-60 in under 4 seconds... and no roof :D

or the toyobaru? the new boxer engined Toyota/subaru project... thast going to be a drop top at somepoint i believe?

but

its going to have some sort of hybrid type deal i assume so i'll never be seen dead near one lol

edit: It's N/a? i thought it was a law that you boost for the fun of it everywhere and scare small children with your HKS SSQV?.... not that thats what i did with my ZR at all
