Can someone please try and help me out. I have a rover 25, Y plate, since i bought my car, i have had nothing but problems. Latest problems which i need help with, are as follows:-

* boot is leaking water from little black grommits on either side of the boot, i don't have a sunroof, and have checked the seals around the lights, they are fine, is it something to do with the back bumper (which seems secure), or is it something else???? some advice would be nice and very helpful

* SRS light on dashboard remains on all of a sudden today, why is this??? Is it something to do with the water getting into the boot??? Not 100% sure about cars, so if anyone can please shed some light, i would be very, very grateful

Many thanks xx

The leaking water in the boot would most likely be coming from a cracked rear washer hose that runs from the front to the back of the car. if memory serves its the passenger side grommit that the hose runs through. I would make a bet it was this if think you have eliminated the other common causes.

Good luck with it.

try using the rear screen wash and watch and see if you can see water leaking when you operate it, if there is it is an easy fix! Am sure there is a how to somewhere that would explain it more clearly than i could :)

You can feel to check for breakages. Open the boot, look to the top left. A rubber grommet. Squeeze this. It should be solid, no breaks, if you can depress it, then chances are its bust. Or, if you want, pull the rubber off from the boot, pops off with a bit of a pull, and inspect visually. Repair with normal aqualine and joiners.
