Hi anyone requiring a quality remap on their vehicle by a evolutionchips installer please ask for details etc.
Fully mobile sevice, we come to you either at your home or workplace whichever is convenient

To be fair, I have never tried them and they may be the best thing since sliced bread, I just don't know how you can have a one size fits all remap.

I will always get mine done as a live remap on a rolling road so that they can make changes as needed and give you a before and after printout as actual proof that there is a difference.

Hi have a look on my website for bhp/torque results, none of our remaps are " one map fits all"
All are modified to suit each each vehicle, so you do not need a rolling road and if you are told you do then your being conned. You will get the exact same remap on the r/r as me doing it on your drive..only difference is you will get a print out off the R/R. There is no need to "live" map a car with no or few mods as the remap has enough scope to modify..

You obviously have more experience of this than me. I have only had a few RR and a remap.
What I do know from a RR is that the map can be tested under load at all revs, dips in BHP/Torque can be detected and compensated for. Also, the fuelling can be monitored during the process so that fuelling issues can be detected and remedied.

My torque curve was quite "lumpy" before the live remap, but it was straightened out a bit by the remap.

Also, modifications can change the nature of the engine. New cams, straight through exhaust, induction etc etc.

How can you "read" all of these variables and adjust the map to suit on a driveway?

I am not saying all this as a retorical question to put down your business, I am actually interested. I have always been a RR Live remap fan, and have had this discussion with others who say your type of remap is just as good, but I just don't get it.

I fitted a tuning box to my Xsara 110hdi and it did improve things and while I had a fair idea how it worked, I had no idea what it was doing to the engine as a whole.

My take on this is that driveway chipping will probably give some improvement, but I cannot see that it is as precise as a RR session.

To me it is a bit like a doctor setting up your heartbeat without a heart monitor or putting you on a treadmill.

only on this forum, has he had these responses, many of you have no respect at all. You have no idea of his expertise in his field, because you are too full of yourselves to ask the right questions, in a format that befits a response.

Don't get me wrong, I am not vouching for his validity, but there are ways and ways of ascertaining things.

Yes it is rather annoying, spamming us.... Yet as you have said he has paid to be a seller; which is why i have kept quiet.....

I agree RR remap will give you the best map for your engine and more importantly prove to you that they are as you can see you current data and then see what they are/ have done. What is he charging for this? Is it as good as the .org proven Somerset RR remap or the one up north?

Just been on the website and price is "contact us for price".

Interestingly, the home page quotes 10 -15% increase in bhp for a non turbo petrol car, but if you go to the MG TF160 specific dropdown menu it quotes an 8bhp increase. Now, off the top of my head, that's about 5% increase.

As a comparison I gained around 18bhp on a live RR Remap for around ÂŁ300, which includes diagnostics, tweaking of the map and before/after printouts of power, torque and fuelling.

It is horses for courses and people will always prefer one or the other. Younger drivers swear by chips etc, but I tend to find that more experienced (older?) owners tend to prefer a Live remap with RR.
