What you say is right 7T5
"take key out of ignition then turn lights off, and lights should stay on for 1 min"

what i do is stand by my front door watching teh car to make sure the lights go out and dont stay on and flatten my battery :)

Hahahahahaha!! That's what I do too! In fact I don't even get out the car, I sit and wait for them to go off, just in case.........

thanks,
maybe i shouldnt bother turning them on then!!!!!!!! might get wet if its raining and im standing waiting!!!

doesnt the lights on buzzer annoy you when you open the door? with the facility on

No. So long as you switch off the ignition, then turn off the lights in that sequence, the lights will stay on for a min but you won't get the lights on 'buzzzer'. You'll get that if you forget to switch the lights off. Doh! :iwstupid:

Re: Guide me home lights.

I love these lights on my 75. you switch off the ignition, then the lights, and the lights stay on for about a minute - Great Idea..............one small problem, how many times have you heard

" You've left yer lights on mate ! "

Very annoying !!!

I do love that feature on the ZT. I tend to use it all the time unintentionally

but yeah im sick of little chavs whining at me "hey laa you've like, left your lights on laaa"

I always use them but never look back, quite often get someone shouting "oi... you left your lights on!" but i enjoy replying "It's ok... they will turn themselves off in a few seconds!" ROFL :D

It's good to feel superior and smug sometimes, just another reason to love the 75/ZT i guess ;)

P.S. i haven't timed my lights but i am sure they dont stay on for a minute!?!

I love it when in a car park and someone shouts hey you left your lights on. I usually time it so that when I click my fingers they go off and I just turn my back a walk away with a huge grin on my face.

he he he works every time.

Agree with the "Oi you left your lights on" sentiments.
Nothing better than arriving at work on a dark morning to hear those words as you stroll casually from the car.
My latest reply was " That's ok mate, it's a Rover 75, it knows what to do"

Even when there is no reason to use the "get you home" lights, I still do it, just to promote a reaction from lesser mortals.

Agree flyer. I finished the 16 hour days, sometimes 36 hours on the trot, ten years ago when I took up my current job. 35 hours a week for me, unless there are exceptional circumstances. Life's too short to spend it working. I can sit at my PC and look out the window at my 75, snuggled up on the drive. Does life get any better?

When I read a thread I usually check how many posts they have made to see what experience they have and so answer accordingly. Simple answers for low posts and ignore if I think they know more than I do; which is often.

I didn't understand why this guy had no posts. It was later I saw he was banned. Just couldn't understand it. Now I know.
