I'm considering buying a dark blue 2003 75 which has quite badly scuffed front and rear bumpers. I was intending to buy 2nd hand bumpers and fit them but it got me wondering can you buy facelift ones (and maybe the lights) and fit them?

My 2 main queries are 1) do they fit?, 2) did the dark blue colour stay the same as I dont want to have to repaint to make them match.

Love to hear from anyone whose done this :)

Im with Rob,I think the Mk1 front is way more classic looking and the last face lift cars actually look more dated than the mk1 front which looks classic.
I reckon at some point all the current slick back headlight designs will go back to retro looks but with high tech interiors, motors etc.
Only front Id think about changing to MIGHT be a v8 front, they do look good.

Diy facelift

Yes it can be done ,there was a Rover 75 for sale on ebay not so long back,it was a pre facelift model fitted with facelift front and rear bumpers, there is a thread on it somewhere, one of our members actually contacted the seller and gave a report back.............Tom.

You need at least the bumper, lights and possibly the slam panel not 100% sure on that though.

It is easily dooable as the only difference was the bumpers and ligths pretty much.

Oh and I agree with QPRDUDE the threa dis about whether it's possible, we all know the whole facelift versus prefacelift threads have been done to death far too many times

Whether it's possible is never in doubt, just trying to avoid another terrible mistake.

Especially when the OP comes to sell it with a Mk2 front & Mk1 rear and get's less for the car as it looks like it's been in a front ender then and repaired with the wrong bits.

Regards, Rob.
