De-orange my lights

I'd really like to de-orange my lights but the company I bought the last lot of silver bulbs from have decided to wind up (Silver Fusion for those who remember). Basically I need 2 sets of 21 watt bulbs with offset bayonet pins. Any ideas for somewhere who sells them at a reasonable price but that aren't likely to blow after a few weeks?

Intersting on the powerbulds site, the Phillips silver vision does not list any MG as being suitable, and the Osram has no guide to suitability. However, since they are standard offset bayonet indicators I guess they should be fine.

Philips Silver vision spcification are listed as : 581 12V 21W Silver Vision on autobulbsdirect.co.ok and priced at ÂŁ13.50

i got mine form power bulbs with teh free other ones too and mine fitted fine, brighter and whiter - looks loads better! teh only problem is is getting your hand into the lights! i have little hands and mine didnt fit! its really akward!
Does this mean there might be some cheap Philips vison bulbs for sale in a month or so? Sorry if it sounds like a vulture hovering, but if you don't ask ...

I guess thats the question answered lol. They do indeed fit. I didnt think there was any other type of indicator bulb than the ones we have :err:
Did you fail to notice the female in the corner who posted the question?

I managed to get the front indicators out so I presume I have fairly small hands as must most of the blokes in work who compared hand sizes with me one day and were amazed how big mine were (hands that is :shake: ). Will order the bulbs tomorrow once I make sure my pay has cleared.

Thanks for all the help guys and I'll post some pics when I'm done.

...what interesting days in the office you must have :err:
Actually I sit with 3 top blokes. One is like a father (his son was my ex's best mate at school), one is like a brother and one is like that pervy uncle who turns up at weddings :rotflmao: We have great craic mainly due to the fact that I'm treated like one of the lads so there are no boundaries for how crude the jokes can be!!!

just placed an order for the Philips Silver Vision (Indicator) Bulbs & Philips Blue Vision (Low & Main Beam) Bulbs, so with FREE Sidelight Bulbs will have a complete set, will let you know how i get on :)
Andy, which main beam bulbs did you order?
I dont think the ones in the link you posted earlier will fit.

The specified bulbs for the TF are HB3A (equivalent is 9005X/S)
The bulbs you have oredered are 9005 (HB3).
The difference is, that on the 9005 (HB3), the wire connection is at right angles to the bulb, whereas on the 9005X/S (HB3A) it is in-line with the bulb, so having A or X/S on the end of the part number is V important.

I hope Powerbulbs have a good returns policy ;)

The other pair (H1's?) should be OK though :D

If thiers is anything like the one Halfords use, its not worth the paper its written on
The actual connetor is the same on both, so you should be able to connect it, but I just dont think the right angle bit will fit into the lamp unit or under the cover on the back of the light (worth a try though).
Think this is the reason not many peeps have upgraded thier TF's bulbs, as IIRC very few 'performance' bulbs are available in the 9005X/S (HB3A) fitment as its not very common.

Sent an e-mail Power Bulbs this morning about this, Just got phone call saying that the fitment on the bulbs is completly different between 9005 & 9005X/S. so they would not fit. also said that he only know of Jeep using these bulbs, so there is no chance of Phillips making this bulb in the future :( oh well at least he did not send them just for me to return.

So thanks Steve your knowledge saves me again :)
