Are you using blue coloured bulbs or l.e.d's? Id use l.e.d's as they are super bright and give a great look to the clocks.

 

i use position led`s the one that u put in head lamp

did you remove the orange plastic?

 

i remove oragne condom, is there any other oragne plastic.
i try to put bulb without orange condom and stil glow orange
its a little less orange bit still orange

Like Tad said you need to remove the orange filter, but if they are blue already sounds like you have done this?

 

You lost me now. When you say "condom" are you talking about an orange sleeve that fits over the bulb? Are the bulbs 100% l.e.d's? Cause alot of places sell either blue coloured bulbs or "ultra blue" bulbs.

Im pretty sure they will fit in a rover 25, as has a later 200 and they have the same dash.

On my 200, the dash is illuminated by three 501 bulbs (the same as the sidelights). I initially wanted blue dials so bought three blue sidelight bulbs but they were crap and really dull. I wasn't too keen on the blue anyway so bought some red rubber caps and put them on the existing bulbs and they're cracking. They were dirt cheap and now I have lovely bright red dials.

I got mine off ebay but I think Maplins do them too. I paid £2.49 for a pack of ten and they come in different colours including blue.

Assuming the ZR dash uses the same bulbs as my 200, you will need three 10mm ones.

The other option is to replace the dials with a custom made set with whatever colour backing you want. These were made for me by Metal Monkey and use 2 colours of blue and a burgundy for the red. The blue odometer I did myself my stripping it out, removing the orange diffuser and making my own. The purple edging is done with embedded purpel EL wire.

Just a quick question, I got an MGF that was converted to look like a TF and the dash board was converted as well. Could you guys please advise what bulbs/LEDs i should use to replace the ones behind the clock and the oil temp gauge?
Also im debating replacing the dials with the metal monkey ones (they are the only ones who do them for MGF...) but they are all made of metal.. I quite like the white ones i have at the moment and would just like to have some blue bright lighting over the dials as opposed to the very dull factory one (yellowish) so what bulbs do i use?

If theres anyone who does white backlit dials that would be just superb
