After reading the other posts on this subject I thought I'd post with my own concerns.
got a real early MKII...
had it two months and 'cos' it's new to me I've done about 5500 miles in it, all over the place.
I check the levels regular and have noticed that over this time, the coolant level has slowly dropped so that it's no longer at the seam in the tank, but perhaps a finger below this, possibly a touch more.
Of course when warm (i.e if I check after I've driven it and then left it for a 20 mins) it's up to seam level...
Should I top up?
Also, last week I topped up the oil as it was at about half way, however I seem to have put in a little too much and now it's over the max mark - what can I do about that?
