clutch trouble

was driving home the other day and the biting point dropped from about half way to an inch from the floor. clutch fluid was pretty much empty, so topped up but still no difference. presuming it needs bleeding? if so wheres the valve?
or is it a different problem

From what you describe, slave or master cylinder possibly on the way out. Any trace of leaks? ... particularly inside the dust seal cover surrounding the slave cylinder push rod. The bleed nipple is on the slave cylinder. These systems are tricky to bleed ... search here and over on Rovertech.net for details of how too.
