Questions...

Some questions.

Is the head new to you, or did it used to work and has stopped?

Whilst I am not saying "No ct" does mean "no code", if it has just stopped working can you think of any reason why it may have lost it's code?

What does the Panasonic web site say, or have you tried emailling them if there is no info available?

Do car cd players have these holes? I know that traditional computer cd drives do, but these computer cd drives have a tray that slides in and out and it is the mechanical latching mechanism of the tray that you release with the paperclip.

I concede I may be wrong here but car cd players tend to have no such tray and have some kind of motorised roller arrangement that feeds the cd in and out. I doubt stuffing a paperclip in a hole could cause the rollers to eject a disc.

thanks for reply guys bit of a bigger problem than just the head unit now. 12v wire that connects to the headunt is broke the guy before me must of did a diy job to connect up the cd player that was it it when i 1st got it (the non ejectin cd player) tho i got a new 1 of a mate went to connect it up and the 12v power cale snaped, found that he must of spliced into it at some stage. Tho the cd player that i have atm had a different power connection than the one that was already init and now im just well confused

Well if its a broken 12 volt wire thats confusing you then it's time to get help LOL.

But seriously, many people fit heads in cars with different connectors on to what's wired into the car loom. You just need to buy an adaptor lead to suit (Rover is ISO, you get the other end to suit the make of the head unit).

It just plugs into the loom and then into the head and all the connections to power, speakers etc are crossed over/wired as necessary.
