Bugger! MOT Fail

Ok my car has failed its MOT, needs a new track rod end, new front shock and handbrake isnt holding.

They have also advised that i fit a set of new arms as these are on their way out and ther is no point not doing it now, saves getting it all tracked up twice.

Ive got all the parts on their way to me, however i cannot find a shock absorber anywhere......dont really want to pay silly money to rimmers, the bugger has cost me a fortune recently and im loath to spend more on it.

Anyone got any ideas where i can get a shock or pair of shocks?

User wullie480 recently had to get a pair of springs for his diesel. Maybe worth sending him a PM to see how much research he did as I'd guess that the places he contacted would do dampers as well.

Result! got a pair of front struts from a 23K 05 plate car for £90 delevered, set of track rod arms for £20 and set of wishbones and mounts for £130.......looks like im going to be spending the rest of the week under the car swearing at it!
