The longest bit was sourcing all the blue leds, the actual conversion can be done in an afternoon.

The whole process is fiddly really, just requires lots of patience :broon:

where did you get the bulbs from dave, they do look good!

 

I bought from THIS seller, and got on so well, i let him use one of my pictures!!

Bear in mind this auction are for blue LEDs, NOT 286 or 501 bulbs, altho he does sell the bulbs as well.

Then need to convert them to fit the bulb holders, which isn't very difficult if you can solder.

I used these leds for the foglight buttons etc

Looking good, Dave! :broon: You say you can't beat blue led's, well in my red car, the red led's look pretty darn good!

If i'd have known you were looking for a blue head unit, i'd have recommended a Pioneer one like mine, where you can change the colour of the buttons and display to one of several shades of blue (or green, red, yellow, orange, pink, or even a constant cycle of the colours which is rather irritating!!). I personally have mine set to a white display with red buttons. Matches my LED mod (courtesy of the other Dave, wallsy1703) quite nicely! :smug_git:

When you get arround to doing your Gauge then pop a nice RED LED in the Hazard switch !!!

Do the Window switches and casset holder with blue ones too !!!

 

Will definitely sort the boost gauge out, and will look for a decent red led for the hazard switch. Didn't even cross my mind to do that one.

Probably leave it at that for leds at the moment, unless i can think of other places apart from the window switches etc.

Was looking for a head unit with blue buttons etc, and finally found one i liked.

Matches quite well i think:broon:

Still need to work on the boost gauge illumination tho.
