Anyone help? I've got a 'blowing' sound coming from the back of engine. Checked exhaust, all ok. The car drives well with no lack of power or torque but sounds like a small hole in the exhaust/and/or manifold but none can be found! Just occasionally on tickover the sound fades away and the engine sounds 'normal'.

Im getting the same problem..
I know there is more power in my car but just hear loads of air escaping when i rev (booming noise and all), but its just restricted..

It could be that i have a wrong fitting flexy exhaust part on my car (i paid ÂŁ70 for it brand new), or it could be a split in one of the many hoses or it could be the BHP BOOSTERS decat pipe of eBay (but i think there is air escaping before it even gets to the decat pipe) .....

Any help would be grateful :)

You already made a thread on this, and recieved a lot of useful information. Just take it to your local kwikfit or something and they will take a look for you. You dont seem to know what you are looking for so just take it to a garage. You have been told about that BHP Boosters pipe LOADS of times, the advice was to stick the original cat back on until you get a wingy one. And you dont have the same problem, yours is similar as it is the downpipe, but not the same as from what you have told us it was bodged on because the mechanic bought one with the wrong flange on it (for a 200) rather than just going due to age and wear and tear.
