Good idea

Not a bad idea especially in this cold weather keep the battery snug with a nice insulated jacket in the boot.

Bought a new battery off ebay 6 months ago is having real problems with the cold weather - it usually starts the car fine but just recently with the cold snap has really lost a lot of power when starting the car in the morning - i get about two chances and then its fingers crossed or get out the trickle charger or jumpleads.

Not really sure whether these batteries are any good

You cant beat the prices but I always wonder - buy cheap pay twice?
Anyone else had experience of buying from this website?
They seem to get good reviews from other places on the web so thought I would give them a go!

Might actually give this a go myself.
Nice article too plenty of pics.
Well done!

Yes car is starting much better now.

I thought it would need a charge after car was left standing during the cold spell before I would be able to start it. but engine fired really well off the battery today. Made a nice change.

Turns ago it's a great place to have the battery when it comes to hooking up the charger to it.

After I installed the LED Daytime driving lights the other day, I put the battery charger in the boot, and then pulled an extension lead out from the garage to it. This means I can leave it charging the car outside, lock it up, and go off if i want to, without having to leave the bonnet up and a charger on display.

Plus I can leave the charger in the boot for next day if I want to give it a fuller/longer charge.

Just have to make sure I don't drive off with the lead still going to the boot though!:errx2:
